MISSION | VISION | VALUES

To assist IFOSuD in its efforts to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teach valuable economic skills to the people of Haiti.

Mission

To see hearts turn to Christ and families able to sustain themselves financially.

Vision

We believe Scripture is the inerrant Word of God.

We believe that discipleship is the basic component through which social change can occur.

Values

Friends of IFOSuD is a Northwood, ND based 501c3 that began in 2016. It was founded by John Draxton in response to Josue Cesar’s founding of IFOSuD, a Haitian registered nonprofit. So moved by the mission, vision, and values of IFOSuD, the board of Friends of IFOSuD was formed.

Friends of IFOSuD and IFOSuD (International Farmers Organization for Sustainable Development) are sister organizations with a shared mission, principles and values. We, along with both sacred and secular groups, hold a deep belief that Christian discipleship is the basic component through which social change can occur. We believe in the value of friendship and fellowship with others.

Volunteers from Friends of IFOSuD focus on fund-raising, sponsor recruitment, communications and strategy. Friends of IFOSuD is committed to promoting IFOSuD to individuals, churches, and other organizations. We also seek to raise funds and financially support IFOSuD in Haiti.

The volunteers and staff from IFOSuD in Haiti, most of whom have lived in or near the impoverished communities where we operate, focus on managing the day-to-day operation of the program.

As an atheist, I truly believe Africa needs God. Now a confirmed atheist, I’ve become convinced of the enormous contribution that Christian evangelism makes in Africa; sharply distinct from the work of secular NGOs, government projects and international aid efforts. These alone will not do. Education and training alone will not do. In Africa Christianity changes people’s hearts. It brings a spiritual transformation. The rebirth is real. The change is good.
